Joei Marshall Perry, soprano, is making her debut with the Cambridge
Community Chorus. She is currently a student of Donna Roll and is
pursuing a Master's of Music degree in Opera Performance at the Longy
School of Music in Cambridge. In April, she sang the role of Letitia
in Longy's production of Gian Carlo Menotti's The Old Maid and the
Thief. Ms. Perry is a member the Tanglewood Festival Chorus and the
Seraphim Singers as well as a professional soprano at historic King's
Chapel in Boston. In April, 2002, she sang the role of Mercedes in
the Lowell House Opera production of Carmen at Harvard University.
She was also a member of the ensemble cast in Verdi's Falstaff at the
Tanglewood Music Center in the Berkshires during the 2001 summer
season. In February 2002, Ms. Perry placed first in the New England
Conservatory School of Continuing Education Annual Vocal Competition.
She spent last summer with OperaFest Boston singing scenes from
Mozart's Le Nozze di Figaro and Die Zauberflote as well as Die
Fledermaus by Johann Strauss. Originally from Tennessee, Ms. Perry
moved to the Boston area to attend Harvard University where she earned
a bachelor's degree in psychology.
